Match preview

Will New York Red Bulls get back to winning ways as they make the relatively short 206 mile journey north-east to Boston?

Last time out, the Red Bulls looked set to beat Columbus Crew at home when Tom Barlow fired them in front just six minutes from time.

However, the Crew snatched a point in New Jersey thanks to a 95th minute equaliser.

Gerhard Struber's side won their first two matches of 2022, but are winless since, having also lost at home to Minnesota United.

Nevertheless, they're still six places better off than reigning Supporters' Shield winners New England Revolution who's tough start continues.

Bruce Arena's men were beaten 3-1 by expansion club Charlotte FC a fortnight ago with Carles Gil's penalty unable to spark a comeback in North Carolina.

That's now back-to-back MLS defeats for the Revs, who were also beaten 3-2 by RSL a week earlier, conceding all three in the final 11 minutes.

In this time, New England have also crashed out the CONCACAF Champions League to Pumas U.N.A.M.

They won the first leg in Foxborough 3-0 but then lost by the same scoreline at Estadio Olímpico Universitario, before going out on penalties.

Things are not going to plan for the Revs, so will they claim a much needed victory at Gillette Stadium?
