LA Galaxy vs Houston Dynamo betting tips: Major League Soccer preview, predictions and odds

LA Galaxy won 3-0 in Houston back in October, ending a run of three successive 1-1 draws between the pair. The Dynamo have only won one of their last eight visits to Carson, leaving 3-2 victors four years ago.

LA Galaxy to win and both teams to score NO is 15/8.

Javier Hernández is 7/2 to break the deadlock and 7/5 to score anytime.

Match preview

After an underwhelming week in terms of results, can LA Galaxy get back on track?

Last weekend, Greg Vanney's side were torn apart by FC Dallas with the Texans racing into a 3-0 lead just 20 minutes in.

Douglas Costa' first goal for the club, a well-worked free-kick, scant consolation.

Then, on Wednesday night, the Galaxy looked set to respond when Sacha Kljestan put them 1-0 up in St. Paul with just seven to play.

However, they could not hold on with Minnesota United equalising at Allianz Field four minutes later.

Having taken just four points from their last four games, LA Galaxy are now fourth in the west, three points behind pace-setters Austin FC.

Houston Dynamo meanwhile currently find themselves just below the play-off line as their inconsistent form continues.

Paulo Nagamura's side lost three in a row before last weekend's 2-0 victory over Nashville SC at PNC Stadium.

Adalberto Carrasquilla and then Darwin Quintero on target, the latter from the penalty spot.

However, on Wednesday, el Naranja could not build on that, losing 1-0 to Seattle at home with Carrasquilla sent off early in the second period.

Given that Houston's only away victory since 25 August 2020 came at Inter Miami, LA Galaxy should win at Dignity Health Sports Park.
