Can Houston Dynamo continue their promising start to the season?

Last weekend, el Naranja scored 4+ in an MLS game for the first time since August 2020, edging out San Jose Quakes 4-3 at home.

Record-signing Sebastián Ferreira bagging a brace, his first goals for the club, while Darwin Quintero and Teenage Hadebe were also on target in Texas.

A week earlier, Houston had won on the road for the first time in 19 months, swatting aside Inter Miami 3-1 at DRV PNK Stadium.

So now, having won three of their last four, Paulo Nagamura's side sit sixth in the west, with Houston aiming for a first play-off berth since 2017.

In that time, Portland Timbers have reached two MLS Cup Finals, including last season, but currently reside below the play-off line.

Giovanni Savarese's side did though claim their second win of the season last weekend, beating Cascadia Cup rivals Vancouver 3-2 at BC Place.

Dairon Asprilla converting a penalty before Jarosław Niezgoda and Yimmi Chará were both on target in British Columbia.

Before this, the Timbers' sole victory came at home to Austin FC, meaning they're looking for back-to-back away wins for the first time since September.

Will there be a winner at PNC Stadium?
