These are two of just nine clubs to have played in also 27 MLS season, but neither are at the top of their game just now.

New England Revolution lifted their first-ever Supporters' Shield back in November, but are struggling to live up to those lofty ambitions.

In March/April, the Revs lost four consecutive MLS games and were knocked out the CONCACAF Champions League by Pumas U.N.A.M.

This is the first time since July 2017 that New England have lost five consecutive matches, but they arrested this slide last weekend.

Adam Buksa's header followed by a fortunate deflection off Matt Polster saw the Revs beat Charlotte FC 2-1 in Foxborough.

This lifts Bruce Arena's side up to 11th in the Eastern Conference, looking to close in on the play-off line with a win here.

D.C. United meanwhile are now rock bottom of the east after a dramatic, and frankly crazy, defeat last weekend.

The Black-and-Red were 2-0 up and cruising at home to Austin FC, Ola Kamara scoring both.

However, the Norwegian striker was sent off for two bookable offences, committing a foul after being cautioned for taking his shirt off celebrating the opener.

Austin FC made the most of this man advantage, even if a bit belatedly, scoring three times in the final ten minutes to leave Washington 3-2 winners.

Hernán Losada couldn't believe what he is seeing but, what is known, his side have lost four on the bounce after starting the campaign with back-to-back wins.

D.C. did at least enjoy a moral-boosting U.S. Open Cup win on Tuesday, swatting aside Flower City Union 3-0, with Kamara scoring twice in Rochester.

But, this wasn't enough to save Losada who was sacked as Head Coach on Wednesday.

New England enter the competition in the next round as reigning Supporters' Shield winners.
