Match preview

Charlotte FC may not have a manger right now, but they continue to impress in, what is, their expansion season.

Last weekend, Queen City won at Bank of America Stadium again, beating RBNY 2-0, with Ben Bender and then Derrick Jones on target.

So, Charlotte have now won six of eight home matches in their debut MLS campaign.

This is the joint-best record from expansion clubs in league history, alongside Chicago Fire in 1998 and Atlanta United five years ago.

Despite this, Head Coach Miguel Ángel Ramírez was sacked last month, for off-field issues, with Christian Lattanzio in interim charge.

Can Lattanzio's team claim CLTFC's first-ever MLS away win?

Columbus Crew meanwhile kick off below the Eastern Conference play-off line, but would leap above it, and their visitors, with a victory.

The Black and Gold defeated Atlanta United 2-1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in their last outing; Jonathan Mensah and Erik Hurtado on target.

However, Caleb Porter's men have actually only won two of their last ten, which is why the Crew are languishing down in tenth.

Will Charlotte FC make club history at Lower.com Field?
