Both have one win and one defeat to their name in 2022 so who will add to their respective tallies in Denver?

Colorado Rapids finished top of the Western Conference for the first-time ever last season but this campaign began in nightmarish fashion.

First, Robin Fraser's side were dumped out of CONCACAF Champions League in the first round, losing a penalty shootout to Comunicaciones from Guatemala.

Then, on MLS' opening weekend, the Rapids were demolished 3-0 by LAFC at Banc of California Stadium.

But then, last weekend, Colorado were on the right end of a 3-0 scoreline, putting Atlanta United to the sword in their home-opener.

Diego Rubio, Jonathan Lewis and Andre Shinyashiki all on target.

So, which Colorado will show up this week?

Similarly, Sporting Kansas City began the season with defeat on the road before claiming all three points as they returned home last weekend.

First, Peter Vermes' men were beaten 3-1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium by Atlanta; Dániel Sallói halving the deficit, only for the hosts to seal the win shortly after.

Then, back at Children's Mercy Park, SKC beat Houston Dynamo with Rémi Walter firing home the only goal of the afternoon on the hour mark.

So, these two are side-by-side in the table just night, but will there be anything to separate them on the field at Dick's Sporting Goods Park?
