Colorado Rapids vs Austin betting tips: Major League Soccer preview, predictions and odds

Austin won their first-ever meeting with Colorado, a 3-1 victory in Denver, but the Rapids have won the two subsequent clashes, 1-0 and then 3-0. The Verde and Black have collected 16 points from nine road games in 2022, the best point to game ratio of any club.

Both teams to score is 7/10.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is 11/10.

Sebastian Driussi is the joint-top scorer in MLS this season with nine. He is 8/1 to break the deadlock and 12/5 to score anytime.

Will Austin FC's remarkable start to the campaign continue?

On Thursday night, Josh Wolff's side won again, this time beating Charlotte 1-0 away with Daniel Pereira coming off the bench to bag the winner.

This came five days after the Verde and Black had come from 2-0 down to draw with Copa Tejas rivals FC Dallas at Q2 Stadium.

All of this leaves the Texans second in the Western Conference, having only lost three of their last 14 outings.

This is mightily impressive for a club only operating in their second season.

Colorado Rapids, in stark contrast, are one of the league's founder clubs and finished top of the west just last season.

However, right now, Robin Fraser's men are down in 12th having been hammered 3-0 by Portland Timbers last weekend.

This means the Rapids are winless in three, seeing their 23-match unbeaten run of home regular season matches ended by Nashville just last month.

So, with Colorado's unbeaten home streak having been shattered, Austin will fancy their chances of victory at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
