Can Austin FC continue their very impressive start to, what is, just their second-ever Major League Soccer season?

Last weekend, Josh Wolff's side pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in MLS history.

The Black and Green were 2-0 down in Washington against D.C. United and, despite the fact the hosts were down to ten-men, it seemed to be a lost cause.

However, Danny Hoesen halved the deficit ten minutes from time, Sebastián Driussi equalised shortly after and then Ruben Gabrielsen snatched all three points in stoppage time.

That's back-to-back MLS wins for Austin who, remarkably, are now second in the Western Conference, two points behind pace-setters LAFC.

However, this comeback in the capital had seemingly taken a lot out of them because, on Wednesday, Austin suffered an embarrassing U.S. Open Cup defeat.

Despite taking the lead through Diego Fagúndez, they were beaten 2-1 by San Antonio FC, conceding late with the go-ahead goal coming in extra time.

Despite this, Vancouver Whitecaps make the 2,287 mile journey south as big underdogs, given their poor start to the campaign.

Last weekend, Vanni Sartini was left devastated as his team were beaten 2-1 by Club de Foot Montréal at Stade Saputo.

Brian White halved the deficit half before, deep into stoppage time, Tosaint Ricketts thought he'd snatched a point, but the goal was ruled out by VAR.

This means the Whitecaps have just four points on the board with their only win, to date, coming at home to SKC a fortnight ago.
