Can Atlanta United start to find some form?

Last weekend, the Five Stripes scored 4+ for the first time since September last year, hammering Chicago Fire 4-1 in Georgia.

Ronaldo Cisneros scoring a first half hat-trick before Brooks Lennon curled home a fourth.

Cisneros treble was the fastest hat-trick from kick off in Atlanta United's history.

This one took just 36 minutes, eclipsing Jose Martínez's 39 minute hat-trick against the Revs five years ago.

However, this was overshadowed by Miles Robinson's Achilles tendon rupture which'll see him sit out the rest of the season and November's World Cup.

He joins Brad Guzan and Martínez as long-term absentees and this is likely to really derail Atlanta's hopes of silverware.

New England Revolution meanwhile are reigning Supporters' Shield winners but current find themselves down in 11th, just one point above last place.

Bruce Arena's side fought back to draw 2-2 with Columbus Crew in Foxborough last weekend with DeJuan Jones bagging an equaliser.

Then, with time running out, Adam Buksa headed New England back in front, only for the Crew to peg it back to 2-2 at the death.

The Polish international forward has now scored 13 headers since the start of last season, four more than the next most.

Before this, the Revs had won back-to-back home games, but have already lost five of ten games in 2022, the same number as the entirety of last year.

Both clubs were in U.S. Open Cup action this week with the Revs welcoming to Gillette Stadium FC Cincinnati on Wednesday night.

Despite falling behind early on, New England fought back and eventually enjoyed an emphatic 5-1 victory.

Star man Carles Gil bagging a hat-trick while Adam Buksa also scored twice

Meanwhile, Atlanta faced Nashville at Geodis Park and raced into a 2-0 lead with Thiago Almada and then Luiz Araújo both scoring in Tennessee.

However, Nashville fought back, equalising in stoppage time, before Atlanta's hopes of retaining the Open Cup were shattered in extra time.
