Can Atlanta United get back on track after a surprise derby defeat last weekend?

Last Sunday, the Five Stripes were beaten 1-0 by expansion club Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium, conceding an Olimpico after just 11 minutes.

It was clear for all to see that the 2018 MLS Cup winners are sourly missing star striker Josef Martínez, who's out for 6-8 weeks with a knee injury.

Nevertheless, Gonzalo Pineda's side are still fourth in the east having amassed ten points from six games, and they remain unbeaten at home.

FC Cincinnati meanwhile claimed the unwanted Wooden Spoon Award in each of their first three MLS campaigns.

However, there are signs that, finally, things will be different in Ohio, with the team currently up in 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Pat Noonan's side won back-to-back games last month, beating Orlando City away and then bottom of the east Inter Miami 2-1 at TQL Stadium.

Since then though, the Orange and Blue have lost successive matches, going down 2-0 in Charlotte and then 4-3 at home to Club de Foot Montréal.

Brandon Vazquez with his fifth goal of the season in the latter, and he'll be looking to add to that against his former employers here.
