Man United legend Sir Alex Ferguson hilariously discusses Mino Raiola (video)

Another busy summer for Mino Raiola

Even if you do not like super agent Mino Raiola, you cannot deny his influence.

Last summer Raiola presided over the biggest transfer of the summer as Paul Pogba joined Manchester United for a world record fee.

Raiola also saw clients such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic complete big moves to Old Trafford.

Donnarumma & Lukaku: Two of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer

Summer 2016 was hugely lucrative for Raiola and it could well be bettered in 2017.

Raiola clients are currently generating plenty of interest, not least Gianluigi Donnarumma, who looks set to stay at AC Milan.

And, Romelu Lukaku, who seems likely to leave Everton, most likely for Chelsea.

In the case of Donnarumma, Raiola appears to have angered AC Milan by pushing his client towards Real Madrid.

This has comparisons with how Paul Pogba left Manchester United on a free transfer to Juventus in 2012.

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has publicly complained about how Pogba was turned by Raiola and written about this in his book.

Ferguson gives lecture to Sales Sharks

Earlier this week, Ferguson gave a lecture to Sale Sharks rugby club.

Sale prop Brian Mujati asks Ferguson: “why was no one able to acknowledge the undeniable talent that is Paul Pogba,” Ferguson replied: “Paul Pogba? He had a bad agent. A s*** bag.”

Ferguson continued: “Paul Pogba was well known to us. We knew he was a good player. He’s still a good player. We offered him the best contract…”

This reaction, whilst undoubtedly amusing, also shows how Pogba’s departure for free must still rankle Ferguson despite all the success he had at Old Trafford.
