United Arab Emirates vs Vietnam live streaming: Preview

United Arab Emirates host Vietnam at the Zabeel Stadium in Dubai, in AFC 2022 World Cup qualifying on Tuesday.

Bert van Marwijk’s side know a victory over the Group G leaders Vietnam on Thursday would ensure they progress to the second phase of the Asian qualifiers.

The Emirates thrashed Indonesia 5-0 in their last match, to keep their hopes of reaching the finals alive.

Ali Mabkhout will continue lead the line for the home side, and is fine goalscoring form having netted an impressive 75 goals from 91 caps. Fabio Lima will start alongside Mabkhout, and has six goals in his last eight matches.

Vietnam, managed by Park Hang-seo, are unbeaten in their last eight matches and most recently defeated neighbours Malaysia 2-1 with Que Ngoc Hai netting the winner for his side from the penalty spot on 83 minutes.

The Golden Dragons are likely to be unchanged, with skipper Hai their most experienced player with over 40 caps.

Both last faced each other in November 2019, with Vietnam winning 1-0.

Prediction: United Arab Emirates 1 – 2 Vietnam

Given Vietnam are unbeaten in their last eight matches, form suggests they could add to this and edge the UAE.
