Roma vs Lecce live streaming: Preview

Just one side from outside Italy's top-flight has made it this far in the Coppa Italia and that is Lecce, so will their adventure continue?

To date in this competition, I Giallorossi have dumped out two Serie A sides, first beating Parma 3-1 before a 2-0 victory at Spezia.

So, Lecce have made it to the round of 16 for the first time since 2004/05, never getting past this round in their history.

I Lupi were in Serie A as recently as 2019/20 but, last season, missed out on immediate promotion in the play-offs, falling to Venezia in the semi-finals.

Right now, Marco Baroni's team are fifth in the second-tier, beating Pordenone 1-0 on Saturday.

Now, can Lecce cause a huge Coppa Italia upset?

As for AS Roma, they're desperate to end their trophy draught that dates back to 2008 when they last lifted this trophy, beating Inter in that final.

Under José Mourinho, who's won 25 major honours as a manager, they believe this period will end, either in the Coppa or the Europa Conference League.

I Giallorossi narrowly beat Cagliari 1-0 on Sunday, Sérgio Oliveira's penalty the difference, but are still down in seventh in the standings.

Despite their inconsistent form, the nine-times Coppa winners should cruise through this tie, setting up a quarter-final trip to Internazionale or Empoli.

101 Great Goals prediction: Roma 4-1 Lecce

Roma have won eight of their last nine meetings against Lecce, with I Lupi have never beaten them at the Olimpico.
