Match preview: Team & Player Performance

Can Athletic Club continue their decent run of form?

Last Monday night, Marcelino's men came from behind to beat Espanyol 2-1 at San Mamés.

Oihan Sancet and Iñigo Martínez scoring, with all the goals coming in the first 16 minutes.

This means the Lions have climbed up to eighth in La Liga having amassed 13 points from the last 18 available.

Since then, the 2020 and 2021 runners-up continued their quest to reach a third successive Copa del Rey Final for the first time since the 1940s.

In Thursday night's semi-final first leg, Raúl García gave Athletic the lead, but they could only draw 1-1 with Valencia at home.

So, they'll have to win at Mestalla in the return leg on 2 March if they're to book their place at Estadio de La Cartuja.

Before then, will they climb into the European places?

RCD Mallorca meanwhile enjoyed a crucial victory in their last outing nine days ago.

Los Bermellones beat relegation rivals Cádiz, despite falling behind early on, with Salva Sevilla and Vedat Muriqi both converting penalties.

Before this, Luis García Plaza's side had lost four successive matches but have are now six points clear of danger.

Will there be a winner at Son Moix?
