Liverpool’s win at Spurs is first on Match of the Day
Match of the Day begins with Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Wembley over Tottenham.
Goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino did the damage for Liverpool.
Erik Lamela scored late on for Spurs, who also had a good looking penalty appeal in the final seconds. Will Match of the Day analyse the Heung Min Son/Sadio Mane incident?
Chelsea’s rout of Cardiff is second on Match of the Day
Chelsea joined Liverpool with five wins from five Premier League games on Saturday.
Eden Hazard was the undoubted star of the show with a hat-trick for the Blues.
Sol Bamba had given Cardiff a shock lead after just 16 minutes.
Hazard responded with goals on 37, 44 and 80. Willian added a fourth late on.
Bournemouth 4 – Leicester 2 is third on Match of the Day
Bournemouth’s fine start to the season continued with a 4-2 win over Leicester and that is third on Match of the Day.
This is followed by Manchester United’s 2-1 away win at Watford. Then comes Manchester City easing past Fulham.
Before Match of the Day closes out with Arsenal’s victory at Newcastle and Crystal Palace’s 1-0 win at Huddersfield.
