It’s trophy presentation day is Manchester but is some even bigger silverware about to make its way to the Etihad?

On Tuesday night, Manchester City were involved in a thrilling game away to Brighton & Hove Albion.

İlkay Gündoğan gave them the lead after just two minutes but, shortly after, João Cancelo was sent off for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Even so, Man City doubled their lead just after half time thanks to a fantastic solo goal from Phil Foden.

But, Brighton roared back and won the game 3-2 with three goals in 26 minutes.

That’s just Manchester City’s sixth league defeat of the season.

The Cityzens have won the Carabao Cup and Premier League this season and will be presented with the latter’s trophy after this game.

But, their season is far from over.

Next Saturday, they’ll appear in the UEFA Champions League Final for the very first time against Chelsea at Estádio do Dragão.

It’ll be the biggest game in Man City’s recent history so will they prepare for it with a victory?

Everton meanwhile head to Manchester with something still to play for.

The Toffees kept alive their European hopes on Wednesday night by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at Goodison; Richarlison’s header proving the difference.

However, that was just the third time in 11 league games that Carlo Ancelotti’s side have enjoyed a victory.

So, coming into this one, Everton are eighth which would just see them miss out on a European place.

They need to better Tottenham’s result and match Arsenal’s to finish seventh so, realistically, this is a must win.

Will Everton spoil the trophy party at the Etihad?

Prediction: Manchester City 2-2 Everton

Pep Guardiola has won four out of four matches on Premier League final days, a joint-record alongside Chris Coleman.

Everton can win their 12th away league game this season which would be a club record.
