Manchester United vs Liverpool take two.

These two were meant to face off 11 days ago but that game could not take place due to fan protests outside and in Old Trafford.

Hopefully this time it’ll be footballers who are taking to the Theatre of Dreams’ turf.

As a result of the rescheduling of this fixture, Manchester United have been forced into a hectic schedule.

Since booking their place in the UEFA Europa League Final in Rome a week ago, they’ve played two league matches.

On Sunday, the Red Devils came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park.

Then, on Tuesday, they were in action again, this time at home to Leicester City.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær made ten changes for that one, giving starts to youngsters Anthony Elanga and Amad Diallo; even Donny van de Beek got a rare start.

Despite a sumptuous equaliser from Mason Greenwood, Çağlar Söyüncü’s header saw Leicester leave 2-1 winners.

That confirmed Manchester City as champions and, given that they’ve secured a top four place, there’s little for Manchester United to play for in the league.

The same cannot be said of Liverpool.

That victory for Leicester means the Reds now face a steep uphill battle to sneak into the top four at the last.

Jürgen Klopp’s side were last in action on Saturday night, beating Southampton 2-0 at Anfield.

Sadio Mané opened the scoring, heading home Mo Salah’s cross, before Thiago Alcântara scored his first for the club late on.

Liverpool are unbeaten in six league games, winning four of them, but are still sixth, seven points outside the top four with this as a game in hand.

After this, they have favourable fixtures against West Brom, Burnley and then Crystal Palace but desperately need to win this one first.

In the reverse fixture in January, it finished goalless and then, a week later, Manchester United won a far more entertaining affair 3-2 in the FA Cup.

Which one of England’s most successful clubs will win this one?

Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Liverpool

Liverpool have won just one of their last 15 trips to Old Trafford, failing to win the last eight, including losing 3-2 in the FA Cup fourth round.

Jürgen Klopp is aiming for a first ever win at Old Trafford at the seventh attempt.
