The UEFA Nations League winners are back in action, looking to secure World Cup qualification.

Last month, France won their seventh major men’s international title in Milan.

Les Blues came from 2-0 down at half time to beat Belgium in the semi-final in Turin.

Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé scoring before Theo Hernandez smashed in a stoppage time winner.

Then, in the Nations League Final at San Siro, France came from behind again, this time 2-1 against Spain with Benzema and Mbappé both netting again.

So, Didier Deschamps’ side are now reigning World Champions and Nations League winners.

This month, they return to World Cup qualifying action with top spot almost secured.

Back in September, France drew their first two games, 1-1 against both Bosnia and then Ukraine, before beating Finland 2-0 at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

So, they currently lead the way in Group D, three clear of Ukraine, four above Finland and five ahead of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Nevertheless, the maths is simple: if France win this clash in Paris, top spot and a place at Qatar 2022 will be secured.

Will it be another night of celebration for les Blues?

Kazakhstan are the only side in this section out of contention but, despite being winless, they’ve caused a few surprises.

The Hawks have three points to their name, drawing both fixtures against Ukraine before snatching a 2-2 draw away to Bosnia in September.

Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov’s 95th minute free-kick securing a famous point in Zenica.

However, the fact Talgat Baysufinov’s side are winless in this group means Kazakhstan have now only won five of their last 39 competitive fixtures.

The only teams they’ve beaten since October 2015 are Lithuania, San Marino, Andorra and Scotland.

France won 2-0 when these two met in Nur-Sultan in March and this should be a similarly straightforward victory at Parc des Princes.

101 Great Goals prediction: France 3-0 Kazakhstan
