Denmark vs Belgium live streaming: Preview
Denmark host Belgium at Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium in their second match at Euro 2020 on Thursday.
Kasper Hjulmand’s men suffered a 1-0 defeat to Finland in their opener, but the game was overshadowed following the events involving Cristian Eriksen. It was later revealed by Denmark’s national team doctor Morten Boesen, that Eriksen had suffered a cardiac arrest, but the 29-year-old is recovering in hospital.
The Danes, who take on the World-ranked No.1 side Belgium, are expected to make alterations ahead of the clash. Brentford’s Mathias Jensen is likely to be the man to take the place of Eriksen in midfield, and Andreas Cornelius and Kasper Dolberg could both be given the chance to showcase their talents up front.
Belgium, managed by Roberto Martinez, go into the match unbeaten in 10 games in all competitions.
Martinez’s men dispatched Russia 3-0 in their first clash with Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku netting a brace and helping his side to victory.
Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne is ruled of the tournament following a knock to the head, and Jan Vertonghen misses out with an ankle injury. Midfield Axel Witsel returns and could feature, but the game is likely to have come too soon for Kevin De Bruyne, who is recovering from facial injuries.
Both last faced each other in November 2020, with Belgium winning 4-2.
Prediction: Denmark 0 – 2 Belgium
Belgium go into the clash on the back of a 3-0 victory in their opening match and are 10 games unbeaten. The away side have plenty of strength in depth and firepower up front to trouble the Danish backline.
