Can Celtic keep pace with leaders Rangers?

On Sunday, the Hoops battled to a narrow 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Parkhead.

A lovely finished by Jota opened the scoring before Callum McGregor got the winner in unusual fashion.

David Bates aimed to clear the ball up field but the Celtic skipper leaped in front of the ball, deflecting it into the net.

This victory means Ange Postecoglou’s side are unbeaten in eight Premiership games, winning six of them, so remain four points behind Rangers.

In this time, the Bhoys have also booked their place in the UEFA Europa Conference League knockout stages and the League Cup Final.

Will the positivity in Glasgow’s East End continue?

Postecoglou’s first Premiership match in charge was at Tynecastle on 31 July and, that night, Hearts enjoyed a 2-1 victory.

John Souttar with an 89th minute header in Gorgie.

That commenced, what has been so far, an impressive season for the Jambos who kick off just two points and one place below Celtic in the table.

Robbie Neilson’s side beat St Mirren 2-0 on Saturday with Barrie McKay setting up Gary Mackay-Steven to open the scoring on the hour mark.

Shortly after, a stunning free-kick by Stephen Kingsley sealed the win for Heart of Midlothian.

Before this, Hearts had lost two of their last three, tasting defeat at Motherwell and Aberdeen, but appear to be back on track.

It’s actually 1-1 in terms of wins when these two have met so far this season.

As mentioned, Hearts won on the Premiership’s opening day but three weeks later, Celtic won 3-2 at home in the League Cup second round.

Who will win as the two meet again at Celtic Park?
