Will Barcelona’s winless La Liga run continue?

To end October, Barça were beaten 2-1 in the Clásico by Real Madrid before going down 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas.

This saw Ronald Koeman sacked as Head Coach but all of Barcelona’s problems did not disappear with the Dutchman.

Last weekend, in their first match under Interim Manager Sergi Barjuán, the Blaugrana were held to a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou by Alavés.

Memphis’ glorious curler put them in front but, just moments later, leading relegation candidates Alavés equalised and 1-1 it finished.

This means Barcelona have only taken four points from the last 15 available so are down in ninth place, last finishing that low in 1942.

They are though at least back on track to reach the Champions League round of 16.

On Tuesday, Ansu Fati got the only goal in a nervy 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv at Olimpiyskyi National Sports Complex.

This means they’re second in Group E, two points above Benfica and those two meet in a crucial clash later this month.

Before then, can Barcelona climb up the Primera División table?

Celta de Vigo are also looking to do that too as they aim to sneak away from the relegation dogfight.

O Celtiña battled to a useful point last weekend, holding in form Rayo Vallecano to a goalless draw in Madrid.

That concluded a mixed week for Eduardo Coudet’s side in which they’d beaten Getafe 3-0 but then lost 2-0 to Real Sociedad in the pouring rain in Galicia.

Thus, Célticos are currently 15th, just two points above danger.

Will they now beat Barcelona at Balaídos?

Prediction: Celta Vigo 1-1 Barcelona
