It’s another huge week for FC Barcelona although, given their current predicament, every game is massive just now.

Thus far, in La Liga, Barça have amassed just 12 points from seven fixtures so are down in ninth place.

In the Blaugrana’s last outing, they were beaten for the first time in the league, going down 2-0 to Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano.

They had though drawn two of their three games before this, 1-1 with Granada at home and then goalless at Cádiz away.

Also, in the Champions League, Barça have lost both games to date, both 3-0, to Bayern Munich and then Benfica.

On Tuesday, they face the first of two matches against Dynamo Kyiv as they seek to salvage their European campaign.

Despite these very poor results, Ronald Koeman remains in a job simply because no alternative can be found.

One more thing to mention, next weekend Barcelona host current league leaders Real Madrid in the first Clásico of the season.

Suitable candidate or not, this could be decisive week for Koeman so will it start with a crucial win?

Valencia meantime are currently level on points with the Catalan giants and above on goal difference.

Los Murciélagos won three of their first four games but are winless in their last four, most recently drawing 1-1 with Athletic and 0-0 at Cádiz.

This has seen José Bordalás’ side slip from third to eighth in the space of just three weeks.

Can los Che get back on track with a first victory at Camp Nou since 2016?

Prediction: Barcelona 1-1 Valencia
