Arsenal’s season is over.

On Thursday night, they went out of the UEFA Europa League with a whimper, drawing 0-0 with Villarreal at home in the semi-final second leg.

Having lost at Estadio de la Cerámica a week earlier, they crashed out of the competition with a whimper.

The hope was that Arsenal would win the Europa League and earn a golden ticket into next season’s Champions League.

Now though, they face a season without European football for the first time in 25 years.

Last weekend, Mikel Arteta’s side beat Newcastle 2-0 at St James’; Mohamed Elneny and then Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring.

However, that is only their fifth league win in 14 which leaves them down in ninth, five points below the European places.

Even with four games to go, the Gunners now have virtually nothing to play for.

As for West Bromwich Albion, the game could be up for them too.

On Monday evening, the Baggies could only draw 1-1 with Black County rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Hawthorns; Mbaye Diagne with a second half equaliser.

However, West Brom have only won three of their last 16 so remain 19th, ten points from safety.

Should West Brom lost this one, they will be relegated straight back to the EFL Championship.

Will they win at Arsenal for the first time since 2010?

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

Arsenal have won 10 of their 12 Premier League home games against West Bromwich Albion.

Sam Allardyce has never won at Arsenal in the league in 14 attempts, losing the last nine in a row.

Arsenal have lost nine home fixtures in all competitions this season, the most in a campaign since 1929/30.
