Match Preview

Paris Saint-Germain dropped their first points of the 2022/23 campaign over the weekend and will now clash with a Toulouse side coming into this one off the back of tasting defeat in Ligue 1 for the first time this season.

Toulouse’s efforts so far have seen them lose just once after a 3-1 defeat to Nantes over the weekend which keeps the club 10th so far after four games. Zakaria Aboukhlal scored for Toulouse that day to give his side the lead before conceding three second half goals.

In fact, Toulouse’s only win in the league has been over Troyes, with Rafael Ratao and Rhys Healey scoring a goal each alongside an own goal. They also drew with Lorient 2-2 shortly afterwards, while also drawing with Nice 1-1 on the opening day as well.

PSG fell a goal down to rivals Monaco in the first half last time out and needed Neymar penalty conversion with 20 minutes to go in order to stay unbeaten in Ligue 1. This also now means Neymar is top of the Ligue 1 charts for assists and goals, with six each after just four games in the league.

The Ligue 1 serial winners have now scored 18 goals so far after four games and just four let in. On the other hand, they have only managed to keep one clean sheet in the league. What’s more, with a 4-0 win over Nantes in the Trophee des Champions, PSG have also won a trophy and scored 22 goals so far across all competitions.

Despite the draw with Monaco, Lionel Messi and co. have still managed to hammer Clermont Foot 5-0, Montpellier 5-2, and Lille 7-1 in the first three games of the season.

PSG have been way too good this season in Ligue 1, and once again, it seems a case of who, rather than if they lose this campaign.
