Paris Saint-Germain are looking to keep up their spectacular start to the 2022/23 season when they travel to 18th-placed Ajaccio who are in search of just win number two of the season so far as the champions aim to stay unbeaten.
Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have got ticking this season without much stopping them. Neymar was the difference once again in the recent win over Marseille as he netted the game’s only goal in what was his ninth of the season from 11 games, and alongside his seven assists in the league as well, the Brazilian now has 16 goal involvements already. Mbappe is sitting with eight goals from 11 games too and one assist, with Messi netting five times and assisting seven from 10 games.
The victory over Marseille also keeps Mbappe and co. unbeaten in the league so far with a stunning 21 goals scored and just five conceded. PSG have also only drawn two games from the nine, although they did manage to register two 1-1 draws with Benfica in back-to-back games in the Champions League.
Times have been tough for Ajaccio so far this season, as they have let in 16 goals already. This is still the third-lowest inside the bottom 10, but with eight goals scored of their own, no other side has scored fewer than they have.
PSG will be licking their lips ahead of this one, and in truth, it could be another game in which Messi, Neymar and Mbappe run riot.
