Second-placed Stevenage will be looking to keep up their excellent form during the World Cup that currently sees the club sitting second in League Two ahead of a trip to meet with Grimsby Town who are struggling to get into the top half of the table this campaign.

Stevenage have been excellent this season and the only thing separating them from sitting top of the table is the sensational form of Leyton Orient, who barely anyone has managed to lay a glove on this season. Stevenage are just three points behind the league leaders, however, as they have managed to lose one more game and win one less, as both have drawn three times this season.

The club head into this game off the back of a topsy-turvy few weeks. They managed to get back into the win column against Hartlepool United last time out, which came not too long after advancing in the FA Cup 1st round with a narrow win over Gateshead, before they lost to Charlton Athletic of League One in the EFL Cup on penalties. A further draw with Colchester United has put them at a distance from Orient.

As for Grimsby they are still living off the high of smashing League One high flyers, Plymouth Argyle, as they hammered them 5-1 in the FA Cup. They then went on to beat Manchester City U21s on penalties in the Football League Trophy.
