Can Valencia start to build some momentum?

Last weekend, los Che scored 5+ in a La Liga game for the first time since May 2019, hammering Getafe at Mestalla.

Toni Lato, Samuel Lino, Samu Castillejo, Nico and Hugo Duro all on target.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side had lost back-to-back games, both 1-0 against Athletic and Atlético, but now have six points on the board, which isn’t bad at all.

So now, will los Murciélagos win back-to-back games for the first time this season?

Rayo Vallecano meanwhile were beaten 2-1 by Osasuna, conceding in stoppage time having equalised through Florian Lejeune’s free-kick.

Los Franjirrojos began the season by drawing with Barcelona and beating Espanyol, but have since suffered consecutive defeats.

Andoni Iraola’s team have still only won three of 24 La Liga games in 2022, all of which have come in Catalonia.

Given that their only remaining trip to that region is on New Years’ Eve when they face Girona, los Vallecanos need that fact to change.

Will there be a winner at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas?
