Osasuna vs Atlético Madrid betting tips: La Liga preview, predictions and odds

Atlético Madrid have already conceded more La Liga goals (34) than in any of Diego Simeone's nine previous full seasons in charge. Atleti though have won their last seven matches against Osasuna, a run that dates back eight years.

Both teams to score is 19/20.

Chimy Ávila is 13/2 to break the deadlock and 12/5 to score anytime.

Ángel Correa is 15/2 to open the scoring and 11/4 to add to his tally for the season.

Match preview

After a truly embarrassing defeat on Wednesday night, Atlético Madrid need to stand up and be counted.

In midweek, los Colchoneros hosted a Levante side who are bottom of the table and have won just one of their last 31 Primera División matches.

Despite everything pointing towards a home win, the visitors opened the scoring just after half time and held out, relativity comfortably, for a 1-0 victory.

This harrowing loss means Diego Simeone's side have now only won three of their last ten La Liga fixtures, including Saturday's dramatic 4-3 win over Getafe.

So, they remain fifth in the table, needing to get back on track to keep pace with Barcelona in the Champions League race.

Osasuna though will not be easy opponents, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Los Rojillos easily beat Rayo Vallecano 3-0 a week ago with Jon Moncayola, Rubén García and Kike all scoring at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas.

This means they've now taken ten points from the last 15 available so sit up in ninth.

Given their tally of 32 points, Jagoba Arrasate's team a essentially safe so are playing like a side free from the burden of relegation worries.

Can they now beat the champions at El Sadar?

Osasuna team news

For the hosts, defenders Aridane Hernández and Jesús Areso are long-term absentees.

Jon Moncayola, Darko Brašanac and Lucas Torró form a very solid midfield trio that will be confident of bullying Atleti's.

Kike scored off the bench in Madrid last Saturday but Ante Budimir is likely to lead the line again.

Atlético Madrid team news

Wednesday was a truly miserable night, compounded by the fact Rodrigo de Paul was booked so he's suspended for this one.

As is Felipe, who was sent off for a horrendous tackle last weekend.

Daniel Wass, who was bought to replace Kieran Trippier, then got injured on his debut at Camp Nou.

So Marcos Llorente, a midfielder, will continue to fill-in with Šime Vrsaljko not trusted.

Further forward, Antoine Griezmann and Yannick Carrasco are injured.

João Félix and Luis Suárez were on the bench on Wednesday but both could return for this one.
