Granada vs Elche betting tips: La Liga preview, predictions and odds

The last 12 meetings between these two have produced just 17 goals, including a goalless draw in Elx two months ago.

Under 2.5 goals is 4/6.

Draw and under 2.5 goals is 3/1.

Jorge Molina is 5/1 to break the deadlock and 7/4 to score anytime.

Match preview

The end of the line for Robert Moreno at Granada.

Last weekend, el Graná were demolished 3-1 by Valencia at Mestalla with all four goals coming in a frantic 14 minute period.

This means Granada have now failed to win any of their nine matches in 2022, accumulating a measly three points.

So, Moreno was sacked on Sunday and replaced by Rubén Torrecilla who was with the B-team and has no elite-level coaching experience.

This is a concern because Nazaríes start the weekend just one point and one place above the relegation zone.

Will the change in management lead to a change in results?

Well, now would be the perfect time because Elche are just three places and four points above their hosts.

Los Franjiverdes come into this one following back-to-back defeats, 3-0 at bottom of the table Levante and then 2-1 against Barcelona.

In the latter, Barça won it thanks to a controversial late penalty, but there was still time for Javier Pastore to be sent off after that.

This is notable because the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was an unused substitute.

On one hand, Francisco's side have lost three of their last four but, on the other, have amassed 14 points from the last 27 available.

What is clear is that Elche are five points above the drop zone and they'd love for that gap to increase.

Will either win this huge game at Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes?

Granada team news

Andreas Pereira with Granada - FC Barcelona v Granada CF - La Liga

Neyder Lozano, Domingos Duarte and Santiago Arias are all injured.

So, Víctor Díaz will continue at right-back with Raúl Torrente partnering Germán in the middle.

Njegoš Petrović was given a rare start in midfield last weekend so it'll be interesting to see if this continues under the new manager.

Jorge Molina could return to the attack, possibly alongside Luis Suárez and Antonio Puertas.

Elche team news

Despite not even coming on against Barcelona, Javier Pastore was sent off last Sunday so is suspended.

On the pitch, Lucas Boyé and Pere Milla could continue as the strike partnership with Guido Carrillo and Ezequiel Ponce left in reserve.
