Flamengo midfielder Luis Antonio probably scored the best goal of his career in his side’s 2-0 win over Cruzeiro earlier today.
Mind you, at the age of 24, he has a long time to beat his personal best.
But we have to ask ourselves an important question: Is there anything sweeter than scoring a thumping volley from a headed clearance at a corner?
Bit rhetorical, that one. However, Paul Scholes might be able to provide an answer, the Manchester United legend hit a few of these in his time.
While Antonio isn’t quite at the level of Scholes (the headline is relatively tongue-in-cheek), who could begrudge him this glory? Especially given that he’s often a scapegoat.
