Something pretty special took place in Japan on Boxing Day.
Kashiwa Reysol and Vegalta Sendai played out a 3-3 draw in the Emperor Cup on Boxing Day.
Kashiwa Reysol were crowned winners of the match, on penalties but were thankful to Brazilian Cristiano da Silva for a hat-trick.
And, it wasn’t just any hat-trick. All three goals came from direct free-kicks.
In truth, Cristiano Ronaldo’s free-kicks have not been the greatest for Real Madrid in recent years, but Cristiano da Silva, a 28-year-old Brazilian does resemble the Portuguese superstar somewhat.
