Tottenham fans were understandably getting rather excited during South Korea’s 5-0 thumping of Laos on Thursday due to the goalscoring exploits of their new £22m signing Son Heung-min.
Having netted in the first half, Son Heung-min added a superb second goal from a tight angle by surprising the goalkeeper before completing his hat-trick in the 89th minute.
The 23-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen star got ferocious power on his shot to beat the diving Laos keeper for his second and found the bottom corner with a lovely finish for his third.
Son Heung-min is expected to make his Spurs debut when Mauricio Pochettino’s men visit Sunderland after the international break.
