Cruz Azul 2 – Atlante 1 (Mexico Primera Division, August 6, 2011) Emanuel Villa put Cruz Azul ahead in the 45th minute before Javier Orozco Penuelas doubled the advantage three minutes into the second half. Giancarlo Maldonado got one back for the visitors in the 55th minute but they could not equalise.

Queretaro 2 – Pachuca 1 (Mexico Primera Division, August 6, 2011) Ricardo Vazquez’s last-minute penalty saw Queretaro come from behind to beat Pachuca 2-1 at home. Elias Hernandez had given the visitors an early lead, but Daley Mena levelled with 15 minutes to go before Vazquez sealed it.

Santos 1 – Tijuana 3 (Mexico Primera Division, August 6, 2011) The hosts led on Juan Rodriguez’s 32nd minute spot-kick, but Fernando Arce levelled before the break, and second-half goals from Jose Sand and Dayro Moreno turned it in Tijuana’s favour.

Monterrey 2 – Morelia 0 (Mexico Primera Division, August 6, 2011) Late goals from Humberto Suazo and Dario Carreno earned Monterrey the three points.
