Seattle draw with RSL; San Jose blow out Chicago; Dallas held by Crew; Wizards down Rapids; Revs crush Toronto

Real Salt Lake 2 – Seattle Sounders 2 (MLS, April 10, 2010) Seattle went ahead through Steve Zakuani in the 11th minute before Will Johnson brought Salt Lake level with a diving header in the 53rd minute. Tyrone Marshall put the Sounders back ahead in the 72nd, until Alvaro Saborio’s late goal allowed the reigning MLS champions to extend their home unbeaten streak to 14 games.

Chicago Fire 1 – San Jose Earthquakes 2 (MLS, April 10, 2010) San Jose’s Arturo Alvarez opened the scoring for San Jose early in the second half but Marco Pappa equalised for Chicago soon after with a curling shot into the top right corner from 22 yards. Ike Opara headed in the 82nd minute winner to give San Jose a valuable victory at Chicago.

FC Dallas 2 – Columbus Crew 2 (MLS, April 10, 2010) Jeff Cunningham opened the scoring for Dallas, converting a 29th minute penalty. Andy Moffat levelled for Columbus in the 52nd minute and Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored what appeared the winner for the Crew in the 82nd. Eric Avila fired a shot from near the top of the penalty arc and into the right corner of the net to level in the third minute of stoppage time.

Kansas City Wizards 1 – Colorado Rapids 0 (MLS, April 10, 2010) Ryan Smith danced his way through Colorado’s defense all night and set up Kei Kamara’s 48th minute winner.

New England Revolution 4 – Toronto FC 1 (MLS, April 10, 2010) Veteran midfielder Dwayne DeRosario had put Toronto ahead in the 28th minute, breaking a run of 202 minutes unbeaten by the New England defence. But Zach Schilawski turned the match with an 11-minute hat-trick early in the second half to push New England to victory over Toronto.
