Chivas USA 0 – Colorado Rapids 1 (MLS, March 26, 2010) A sublime second half strike from Omar Cummings capped a fine performance from the Rapids as they picked up an opening rouind win on the road.

FC Dallas 1 – Houston Dynamo 1 (MLS, March 27, 2010) The Dynamo opened through Mike Chabala’s first career MLS goal in the 36th minute, but two minutes later Atiba Harris dribbled around Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell and curled a right-footed shot from 15 yards away into the right corner of the net.

Columbus Crew 2 – Toronto FC 0 (MLS, March 27, 2010) Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored one goal and assisted on another to lead Columbus to a home win over Toronto FC.

Kansas City Wizards 4 – DC United 0 (MLS, March 27, 2010) First half goals from Kei Kamara and Davy Arnaud were complemented with second half strikes from Ryan Smith and Jack Jewsbury.

New York Red Bulls 1 – Chicago Fire 0 (MLS, March 26, 2010) Estonian midfielder Joel Lindpere scored on a sparkling 19-yard shot in the 40th minute of his Major League Soccer debut.
