Chivas break Mexcian record beating Puebla for their 6th striaght win; Reigning champs Monterrey breeze past Queretaro; Edgar Benitez makes Pachuca’s point

Chivas 3 – Puebla 2 (Mexican Primera Division, February 20, 2010) Adolfo Bautista scored twice for the Guadalajara club and Xavier Baez added the other goal. Chivas won its sixth straight from six matches to set a new Mexican record. Herculez Gomez and Marcelo Palau scored for Puebla.

San Luis 3 – Atlas 1 (Mexican Primera Division, February 20, 2010) Blas Perez, Braulio Luna and Gonzalo Pineda scored for San Luis in its win over Atlas. Dario Botinelli scored Atlas’ only goal.

Jaguares 2 – Pachuca 2 (Mexican Primera Division, February 20, 2010) Colombian Jackson Martinez gave Jaguares a 1-0 lead in the 10th, before Edgar Benitez equalized in the 30th. Edgar Andrade put Jaguares in the lead again in the 48th, but Benitez levelled again a minute later.

Monterrey 3 – Queretaro 0 (Mexican Primera Division, February 20, 2010) Monterrey waited until the final stages of its match to score all three goals. Neri Cardozo opened the scoring on a powerful right-footed shot from outside the area in the 81st minute. Abraham Carreno added a header in the final minute and Jesus Arellano scored in injury time, also on a header.
