Al Ahly win the African Champions League

Cotonsport 2 – Al Ahly 2 (Agg. 2-4) (African Champions League final second-leg, November 16, 2008) Leading 2-nil from the first-leg, Al Ahly took the lead away at Cotonsport in the African Champions League final with a superb, deft volley from Ahmed Hassan after 38 minutes. The hosts did manage to score after the break through Karim Abdoul, and they then had reason to believe when Baba Ousmaila pulled another goal back for the Cameroonians. But Al Ahly struck a second at the end of the game, Mohamed converting a last-gasp penalty to take the African Champions League back to Egypt.
