Girona 0 – Tenerife 1 (Segunda Division, June 13, 2009) Tenerife secured promotion to La Liga, Daniel Ngom Kome grabbed the winner five minutes before the break.

Real Zaragoza 3 – Cordoba 1 (Segunda Division, June 13, 2009) Ewerthon, Leonardo Ponzio and Javier Arizmendi had sealed the win by the 48th minute, Guzman pulled one back with six minutes to go, Zaragoza return to La Liga in third place and cannot now be caught by Hercules.


CFR Cluj 3 – Timisoara 0 (Romanian National Cup, June 13, 2009) Ciprian Deac scored the first goal on six minutes, Sixto Peralta doubled the lead from the penalty spot on 28 and Emmanuel Juan Culio sealed the win nine minutes into the second period.


Rubin Kazan 0 – Rostov 2 (Russian Premier League, June 13, 2009) Dimitri Akimov opened the scoring just after the half hour and ten minutes later Balyakin was sent off for the home side. Akimov missed a penalty on the stroke of half-time but then wraped up the match with the winner on 55.

LA Galaxy 0 – Real Salt Lake 2 (MLS, June 13, 2009) Yura Movsisyan opened the scoring in the 13th minute, and defender Nat Borchers tacked on an insurance goal in the 52nd minute as RSL improved to 4-6-3 with its first road victory of the season. LA’s Eddie Lewis received a red card late on for chucking the ball at Javier Morales while he lay on the ground.

FC Dallas 1 – Houston Dynamo 3 (MLS, June 13, 2009) Cam Weaver’s brace helped steer Houston to the three points.


River Plate 3 – Tigre 1 (Argentinean Clausura, June 13, 2009) Leandro Lazzaro gave Tigre a surprise lead at El Monumental but River hit back with goals from Robert Flores, Radamel Falcao and Cristian Fabiani.
