Sevilla & Getafe claim first-leg away wins in the Copa del Rey; Kaka & Benzema lead Real Madrid in Albania

Mallorca 1 – Getafe 2 (Copa del Rey, January 20, 2010) After a goalless first half at San Moix, the Azulones took control with two goals. Manu del Moral put Getafe ahead just five-minutes into the second half. Then just after the hour when new signing Miku fired home.  But The Islanders did give themselves some hope as Gonzalo Castro scored in added time.

Deportivo La Coruna 0 – Sevilla 3 (Copa del Rey, January 20, 2010) Sevilla opened the scoring at the Riazor in the 26th minute when Alvaro Negredo headed home Spain team-mate Jesus Navas’ cross. Renato Dirnei then doubled the Andalusian side’s lead in the 67th minute following good work by substitute Diego Perotti, and two minutes later Navas added a third to make Sevilla overwhelming favourites to progress in next week’s home leg.


Gramozi Albania 1 – Real Madrid 2 (Friendly, January 20, 2010) Los Blancos were forced to come from behind in the club’s first ever official visit to Albania on tour, Kaka and Karim Benzema on target for Madrid.
