Copa del Rey goals: Valencia edge a five goal thriller with Sevilla; Espanyol force a rare Barca shut-out

Hot-shot David Villa continued his superb recent goalscoring exploits by bagging the opener in Valencia’s Copa del Rey tie with Sevilla, scoring from an acute angle after cutting out a shocking backpass from Correia. Diego Capel crossed for Luis Fabiano to nod home the equaliser. Sevilla retook the lead in controversial circumstances, Correia, several yards offside, made it 2-1. Ruben Baraja equalised in the 84th minute with a low shot and Mata grabbed a valuable lead for the home side before the return leg next week.
