Wesley scores a beuaty as Santos win at Atletico GO; Botafogo breeze past Goias; Palmeiras beat Gremio 4-2

Atletico GO 1 – Santos 2 (Campeonato Brasileiro, May 22, 2010) Wesley broke the deadlock with his second brilliant goal of the week in the 65th minute and Eduardo soon put the visitors 2-up. A late goal from Boka proved mere consolation for the hosts.

Botafogo 3 – Goias 0 (Campeonato Brasileiro, May 22, 2010) Lucio Flavio claimed a brace. The first was a terrific free kick in the 41st minute. The match wasn’t all plain sailing though for Botafogo as they had forwards Herrera and Caio both sent off for fighting each other on the pitch.

Palmeiras 4 – Gremio 2 (Campeonato Brasileiro, May 22, 2010) Two goals from Ewerthon led Palmeiras to a comfortable lead over Gremio but the away side then fought back through Jonas and Hugo, the latter equalising three minutes after the break. But Mauricio Ramos put Palmeiras back in the lead on the hour and Cleiton Xavier added another ten minutes later. Douglas of Gremio and Marcos Assuncao of Palmeiras were sent off.
