Velez draw with Boca Juniors in 8-goal thriller; Arsenal win away in Rosario; Racing held by Huracan

Velez Sarsfield 4 – Boca Juniors 4 (Argentinean Clausura, March 2, 2010) Victor Zapata gave Velez an early lead but Boca hit back with goals from Fabian Monzon, Martin Palermo (equalling the Boca record for career goals at the Argentinean giants) and Nicolas Gaitan. Velez then took the game by the scruff of the neck with a brace from Santaigo Silva and another from Manuel Martinez. Gary Medel had the last word for Boca in the final minute to secure a draw for Boca and end the best game of the Argentinean season so far.

Rosario Central 2 – Arsenal 3 (Argentinean Clausura, March 2, 2010) Javier Yacuzzi, Mauro Obolo and Sergio Sena scored in Arsenal’s win over Rosario Central. Milton Caraglio and Luciano Figueroa scored for Central.

Racing Club 1 – Huracan 1 (Argentinean Clausura, March 2, 2010) Defender Eduardo Domínguez grab an 89th-minute leveller to earn a point for Huracan away to Racing, who had led since Claudio Bieler put them ahead after 16 minutes.
