Deportivo Quito 2 – Deportivo San Martin 3 (Copa Sudamericana, August 4, 2010) Quito took a 22nd minute lead through Arboleda’s header from a free-kick, but San Martin levelled early in the second half when Vitti’s free-kick missed everyone to nestle in the net. Fernandez fired the hosts back ahead on the hour but the visitors, despite having Hinostroza sent off, rallied through Alemmano’s 74th minute leveller. Quito have the final say as Villamar was in the right place to power home a third in the final minute.

Atletico Huila 4 – Trujillanos FC 1 (Copa Sudamericana, August 4, 2010) Mancilla, Galviz and a Martinez penalty had Huila in control at the break, even though Garcia had levelled earlier in the opening forty-five. A last-gasp fourth from Velasquez sealed the win for the hosts.
