Ronaldo score his second goal in as many games for Corinthians; Goals from the Copa Libertadores

Corinthians 2 – Sao Caetano 1 (Campeonato Paulista, March 11, 2009) Sao Caetano took a 22nd minute lead with a Marcelo Batatais header before Andre Santos rifled in the equaliser with a long-range shot in the 35th minute. Ronaldo, playing just his third game for Corinthians and starting for the first time in his home debut, then claimed the winner, sweeping the ball home with a first-time shot from Dentinho’s low cross in the 51st minute.


Guadalajara (Chivas) 1 – Caracas 0 (Copa Libertadores, March 11, 2009) Despite going down to 10-men when Oliva collected his second booking before the hour mark, Chivas went on to claim a narrow victory thanks to Galindo’s late header.

Boyaca Chico 0 – Gremio 1 (Copa Libertadores, March 11, 2009) Souza beat Colombian goalkeeper Edigson Velasquez with a low free kick after 31 minutes, before Chico had Juan Mahecha sent off in the 76th minute for diving on the edge of the Gremio box.
