Copa Libertadores: Cerro, Once Caldas & Libertad all pick up wins

Lanus 0 – Libertad 2 (Copa Libertadores, February 9, 2010) Libertad striker Rodolfo Gamarra opened the scoring against Lanus in Group 4 after finding space at the back post and shooting under goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin in the 66th minute. Pablo Velazquez took advantage of poor defending from the Lanus backline to break through on goal and lift a shot over Marchesin in the 74th.

Cerro Uruguay 2 – Deportivo Quito 0 (Copa Libertadores, February 9, 2010) Claudio Dadomo gave Cerro the lead in the 20th minute against visiting Deportivo Quito, Rodrigo Mora scored Cerro’s second goal in the 63rd.

Nacional 0 – Once Caldas 2 (Copa Libertadores, February 9, 2010) Jaime Castrillon scored for Once Caldas in the 23rd minute and Danny Santoya sealed the victory in the 65th.

Universidad Catolica 3 – Colon santa Fe 2 (Agg. 5-5) (Pens. 5-3) (Copa Libertadores, February 9, 2010) Catolica won the second leg 3-2, with David Henriquez, Rodrigo Toloza and Juan Jose Morales on target, for a 5-5 aggregate draw which took the tie to spot kicks. Catolica goalkeeper Paulo Garces saved a Moreno y Fabianesi shot before Rodrigo Mannara netted the winner as the Chilean sideadvanced to the group stages.
