South Africa & Denmark win their pre-World Cup friendlies; Elton & Nilton score crackers as Vasco come from 2-down to beat Internacional

South Africa 2 – Colombia 1 (International friendly, May 27, 2010) All the goals came via penalties. Teko Modise put Bafana Bafana in front with a twice taken spot kick. Giovanni Moreno equalised and Katlego Mphela grabbed the winner.

Denmark 2 – Senegal 0 (International friendly, May 27, 2010) Christian Poulsen tapped home from close range for the opener on 27 minutes. Two minutes into second half injury time Thomas Enevoldsen claimed the second with a low finish.

Belarus 2 – Honduras 2 (International friendly, May 27, 2010) Julio Cesar de Leon opened the scoring with a fine curling free kick only for Belarus to hit back with a header into the corner from Anton Putsilo and then the same player slotted home minutes later to turn the game on its head. Edgar Alvarez rose highest for Honduras’ equaliser.


France 2 – Chile 1 (U20 Toulon Tournament, May 27, 2010) A brace from Lynel Kitambala sealed France’s place in the final, Munoz had scored a fine acrobatic goal to bring Chile level.


Vasco 3 – Internacional 2 (Campeonato Brasileiro, May 27, 2010) Andrezinho looked to have put Inter in complete control with a brace at the end of the first half. Elton scored a screamer after the break to reduce the deficit and further goals from Coutinho and Nilton (another great strike) completed a fine comeback for the home side.

Atletico PR 2 – Atletico GO 1 (Campeonato Brasileiro, May 27, 2010) Baier and Diniz scored for the home side in the first half, Elias pulled a goal back with 18 minutes to go.
