VIDEO: Champs Rangers win at Dundee United; Celtic rout Motherwell; Hearts rallies to down Hibs

Dundee United 1 – Rangers 2 (SPL, May 1, 2010) It took champions Rangers barely 120 seconds to move ahead of Dundee United, Kris Boyd scoring his 23rd of the season and his 100th SPL goal curling a low right-foot shot past Dusan Pernis. Nacho Novo jinked into the area before slotting the ball into the far corner after 41 minutes. Rangers looked to be cruising to a win until Damian Casalinuovo’s deflected late header led to a nervous ending. (The last few minutes of the match & post match scenes can be seen here.)

Celtic 4 – Motherwell 0 (SPL, May 1, 2010) Aiden McGeady’s delightful second-half chip gave the hosts a 48th-minute lead. McGeady played a role in Celtic’s second goal, crossing in for Darren O’Dea to nod in at the back post in the 78th minute. James Forrest scored on his debut with a flick-on then Robbie Keane completed the win with a well-executed strike.

Hibernian 1 – Hearts 2 (SPL, May 1, 2010) Hibs took the lead at Easter Road in the second half when John Rankin went down in the area under the challenge of Marius Zaliukas and Anthony Stokes converted from the spot. Hearts equalised when substitute Suso Santana found the net seven minutes later after good work from another replacement Calum Elliot. The turnaround was completed in the 89th minute when Hibs goalkeeper Graeme Smith missed a low ball and David Obua could not miss from close range.
