Helsingborg held by Malmo; Syrianska hit four & Mjallby score five; Copenhagen draw with Odense

Helsingborg 2 – Malmo 2 (Allsvenskan, July 23, 2011) Erik Sundin gave the hosts the lead after 25 minutes but goals from Markus Halsti (37) and Dardan Rexhepi (45) gave Malmo a surprise half-time lead. Rasmus Jonsson (54) drew the league-leaders level and they hung onto the point despite having Alexander Gerndt sent off with 10 minutes remaining.

Syrianska 4 – Trelleborg 1 (Allsvenskan, July 23, 2011) Nahir Oyal gave the hosts the lead after only eight minutes and Rabi Elia doubled their advantage three minutes later. Thommie Persson (19) then brought Trelleborg back into the game but goals from Peter Ijeh (26) and Imad Zatara (55) secured three points for Syrianska.

Mjallby 5 – Gefle 1 (Allsvenskan, July 23, 2011) David Lofqvist (13,15) gave Mjallby the lead before Jakob Orlov (54) pulled on back for sixth-placed Gefle. Mjallby are currently only one place off the foot of the table but defied their position as Marcus Ekenberg (57, 67) and substitute Anton Dahlstrom (89) wrapped up an impressive victory.


FC Copenhagen 2 – OB Odense 2 (SAS Ligaen, July 23, 2011) When Solvi Ottesen scored after 18 minutes to cancel out Bernard Mendy’s opener and then put the defending champions in front five minutes before the break they looked on course to make it two wins from two SAS-Ligaen games. Peter Utaka was in the right place at the right time to draw Odense level after 63 minutes and neither side were able to produce a winner.

Silkeborg 0 – Brondby 1 (SAS Ligaen, July 23, 2011) Brondby beat Silkeborg 1-0 away from home as substitute Jan Kristiansen scored in added time.
