Rubin held by Nalchik; Boca Juniors smack Arsenal for four; Godoy hit Tigre for six to go top

Rubin Kazan 1 – Spartak Nalchik 1 (Russian Premier League, April 12, 2010) Rubin’s Cristian Noboa opened the scoring early in the second half but that was cancelled out by Deyan Rusic in the 87th minute.


Vitoria Setubal 1 – Academica Coimbra 1 (Liga Sagres, April 12, 2010) A 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Academica was enough to lift Vitoria Setubal out of the Liga relegation zone. Both goals game in the final four minutes, with a Ney Santos own goal putting Academica ahead and Bernardo Henrique levelling within two minutes for the hosts.


Kayserispor 2 – Sivasspor 2 (Super Lig, April 12, 2010) Franco Cangele put the hosts ahead from the spot (32) only for Aydin Toscali’s own goal to level matters on the stroke of halftime. Serial goalscorer Ariza Makukula restored Kayserispor’s lead (58) but Memhet Yildiz had the final say six minutes from time to leave his side three points above the final relegation spot, occupied by Diyarbakirspor.


Orebro 0 – GAIS 2 (Allsvenskan, April 12, 2010) Brazilian Wanderson, joint leading scorer in the league last season with IFK Gothenburg’s Tobias Hysen, set GAIS on their way in the 37th minute and Amar Khalili scored in the last minute to wrap up the away win.

Djurgarden 3 – Trelleborg 0 (Allsvenskan, April 12, 2010) Johan Oremo scored in the first half and Ikpe Ekong made it 2-0 before substitute Sharbel Touma rounded off victory just four minutes after his introduction in place of Oremo.


Boca Juniors 4 – Arsenal 0 (Clausura, April 12, 2010) Struggling Boca Juniors picked up just their third win of the season as they hammered Arsenal. Veteran striker Martin Palermo (2), Cristian Chavez and Juan Riquelme getting the goals.

Godoy Cruz 6 – Tigre 2 (Clausura, April 12, 2010) Rodrigo Salinas Dorantes scored a hat-trick as Godoy Cruz moved to the top of the Argentina Clausura with a 6-2 hammering of Tigre. Francisco Dutari, Daniel Vega and Leonardo Sigali got the other goals for the home side with Leandro Lazzaro and a Zelman Garcia own goal proving mere consolation for the visitors.

Estudiantes 4 – Racing Club 0 (Clausura, April 12, 2010)  Estudiantes, without suspended captain Juan Sebastian Veron but with a fine midfield performance from Jose Sosa, crushed struggling Racing Club 4-0 to join Independiente in joint second place. Sosa scored the first, laid on the second for defender Clemente Rodriguez in the opening half hour and former Racing striker Leandro Gonzalez, in for the injured Mauro Boselli, added two, one in each half.

Argentinos Juniors 3 – Colon 1 (Clausura, April 12, 2010) Argentinos moved up to second place with a 3-1 victory over Colon. Nestor Ortigoza, Jose Calderon and Ismael Sosa had put Juniors 3-0 up before Jonathan Bauman got a late goal back for the visitors.
