The title decider? Porto win a 3-2 classic at 10-man Benfica

Benfica 2 – Porto 3 (Liga Sagres, March 2, 2012) League leaders (on goal difference alone) Porto took a 7th minute lead over second placed Benfica, as Hulk showed incredible power after cutting in from right flank to arrow a left-footer into the near post. Benfica should have levelled in the 22nd minute by Oscar Cardozo did awfully when all-alone in the box with his just Helton to beat, while it was a similar story when Pablo Aimar missed a point blank header. The Eagles did find the back of the net in the 41st minute as Oscar Cardozo collected a ball in the box and lashed home a beauty for his 15th goal of the season. Minutes after the restart Benfica took the lead as an Aimar free-kick was headed home by Oscar Cardozo. When it was looking like Benfica would get a third, James Rodriguez plundered an equaliser for Porto with a brilliant strike into roof of net from just inside box. Benfica lost left back Emerson after he fouled Hulk one too many times, and the Dragons made their extra man count in the final minutes as Maicon (offside?) headed in a James free-kick at the back post.
